Description
The York 025-37852-000 Electric Crankcase Heater prevents refrigerant overheat and compressor damage in HVAC systems when not in use. It works at 120 watts and runs on a standard 120V power supply. Keeping the crankcase temperature helps to prevent refrigerant from leaking into the compressor during start-up, and keeps refrigerant in the evaporator coil. This helps to improve and extend the compressor’s life, minimize damage potential, and improve overall system efficiency. Maintaining optimal performance and prolonging the life of HVAC equipment is essential. It is easy to install, and its effective heating capability helps to reduce the system’s operation in cold conditions.
