Description
The Rheem-Ruud SP11787 transformer is a compact and electrical component designed to safely convert standard 120V household voltage into a lower 24V AC voltage. This process is generally called step-down transformation which is crucial to run different parts of HVAC systems. This transformer has a capability of 20VA and is used to supply power to control boards, relays, and other low-voltage appliances in air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps. The use of low voltage protects sensitive electronic devices from being damaged by either high voltage or fluctuations in voltage. This reliable transformer promotes the efficiency and longevity of your HVAC system thereby increasing the Duration of the system.
