The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100208087 Ignitor Gasket is a sealing element that is used in HVAC systems to aid the operation of the combustion chamber. It is placed between the ignitor and mounting surface to ensure a controlled barrier that restricts air and gaseous leakage. It is around the ignitor hole then assembled in place so that it fits in the right position to give the same performance. During operation, it assists in preserving the integrity of combustion, assists proper ignition timing and lowers the chance of leakage in the surroundings of the ignitor location.
