Description
The Carrier HC21ZE118 Induced draft motor is an essential component of gas-fired furnace. This is the engine used for venting of combustion gases and to assist maintenance of airflow within the furnace. Mainly, it is used to create a low pressure that safely removes exhaust fumes and helps draw fresh air inside the burner. Incomplete combustion, poor heating efficiency and even safety risks may result from a faulty draft motor because harmful gases are not vented properly. The motor is a compact unit 4.8″ long, 3.5″ wide, 2.1″ high and operates on standard household current 115V, 60Hz, and spins counterclockwise to expel exhaust gases.
