The Carrier 326058-758 is an inducer assembly, which is a part that is located in most of the gas-fired furnaces. It main purpose is to release the combustion products from the furnace and to supply clean air for the combustion. This makes it operate optimally and also does not allow the dangerous carbon monoxide to build up inside the house. The inducer assembly is usually a compact device that contains a fan driven by a motor. When the furnace ignites, the inducer motor starts and it pulls a low pressure in the furnace flue. This pressure difference removes exhaust gases from the furnace and up the chimney.
