Description
The Rheem-Ruud 46-23115-01 Transformer is a component which is used for the purpose of transforming electrical power in HVAC systems. This transformer steps down the primary voltage of 120V to secondary voltage of 24V making it useful in powering low voltage controls and other parts of heating and cooling systems. It operates at a frequency of 50/60 HZ and comes with a foot mount facility so that it can be mounted safely and correctly. This transformer is vital in ensuring that various low voltage equipment such as thermostats, control boards, relays and others get the appropriate voltage to enable them to work as required. The primary purpose of the 46-23115-01 transformer is to lessen the input voltage which is usually 120V to a safer 24V this makes it safe to use when handling electronic devices that may be short circuited by high voltage currents.
