Description
The Johnson Controls VG7000-1002 is a replacement spring kit that is used in the V3000-8 4-8 two-way globe valve body and is used in HVAC systems. These valves control the availability of air, water, or refrigerant by acting open or closed, depending on the pressure of the air. The kit includes springs that hold tension in the valve and should open and close at the right pressure between 4-8 PSI. Damaged coil springs as those that are either old or rusty, can limit their ability to function as a valve of the HVAC system and therefore efficiency will be affected. The use of the springs is to assist the valves perform optimally as well as assist in minimization of the general stress within the system and through the use of the kit the function is accomplished.
