Description
The Lennox 57M85 is a Inducer Assembly, used in some select Lennox gas furnace models. It is in fact a tiny fan that establishes an essentialnegative pressure in the furnace. This creates a negative pressure which is safe to pull the combustion gases from the burner through the heat exchanger and out of the flue pipe. The assembly usually includes a 1/20 horsepower motor at 60Hz which turns a blade at 3300 RPM. It consumes a standard household current of about 0.8 amps. CWLE rotation means that while looking at the fan blade, the motor shaft will be observed to rotate clockwise.
