Description
The Johnson Controls VG1241AD is Essentially an electric actuation of the 2-way the Ball valve is used in controlling the flow of water in HVAC systems inclusive of hydronic heating/cooling. It does have a brass construct for reliability and to withstand rust and corrosion, it is meant to be used in temperature range 23°F to 250°F and pressure of up to 580 PSI. The valve is operated by rotating a spherical plug with an axial bore. When the valve is commanded to open by a controller, the ball positions the hole in the flow direction and thus water flows through.
