Description
The Honeywell V8943A1020 24-volt gas valve is for use in multiple heating and cooling systems. The 1 1/4 inch diameter version has a diaphragm mechanism to control the gas flow. The solenoid within the valve opens when the valve is activated by a 24-volt signal from the thermostat and control system allowing gas to pass through the valve and into the burner. However, the ability to control the gas flow precisely is necessary for effective combustion and better overall system performance. The V8943A1020 is also used in residential and light commercial applications such as furnaces, boilers, and some types of water heaters.
